The Keys to Mastering Wealth Consciousness

Billionaire PA is the founder of Wealthy Minds, a motivational platform whose message is that anyone can create wealth, no matter what their current circumstances, by harnessing the power of their mind and manifestation. Billionaire is also a speaker and author of two published books, including My Mind is Wealthy.

    In this episode, Billionaire shares:

      • How he went from two-time convicted felon, turned down from 150+ jobs, and homeless to founder, author, and motivational speaker.
      • How to cultivate a profound sense of inner joy and contentment, independent of external conditions.
      • How to attract more wealth into your life by making a few shifts in mindset and habit.

Lessons to take away from this episode:

Don’t Seek Happiness; Seek Joy. While many of us use the words “joy” and “happiness” interchangeably, Billionaire makes an important distinction between the two: happiness is dependent on present circumstances, but joy is not. Moreover, happiness is an emotional state, but joy is an outlook on life that is rooted in a zen-like acceptance of what is. That is why when we pursue happiness, we can never seem to sustain it for very long. But when we pursue joy, we rest in a sense of contentment in all circumstances.

A wise teacher once said, “build your house upon the rock,” for only a fool builds his house upon the sand. In other words, source your contentment from things that have a stable quality to them. Seek to be content even when things are not going your way. If your contentedness is contingent upon a given set of circumstances, you will experience whiplash because life is powerful and unpredictable. “I was joyful when I was homeless, and I’m still joyful now,” Billionaire says.

Choose Your Friends Wisely. An old Spanish saying goes like this, “dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres.” It means, “tell me who who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.”

This timeless saying communicates the fact that like attracts like. Billionaire says, “If you told me you were broke, I’m sure you could introduce me to five other broke people. If you told me you were a billionaire, I’m sure you could introduce me to five other billionaires.”

Take an honest look at the company you’re keeping. Chances are, your friends and acquaintances are living a life that is in many ways similar to yours. If you’re not satisfied with that life, do something about it. Billionaire says, “Whenever I see a group I don’t want to be anything like I get away from it because I don’t want them to transmit their beliefs to me.”

    Action Step:

A quick hack to “upgrade” your company is to have dinner at a fancy restaurant you dream of being able to afford on a regular basis. Even if you can’t afford to eat there right now, you can afford to drink water there; water is free. While you’re there, you’ll enter into a new sphere of conversations among a constellation of wealthy people. You may even make a valuable connection or receive an actionable piece of advice.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • Why the life that’s “expected” of you might not be the one that fulfills you.
    • How to transition from a conventional 9-5 to nonconventional remote work.
    • Why your personal growth is directly proportional to the growth of your business.
    • How to uplevel your health and wellness, and access more clarity and vitality.

    3 Lessons from Marcus’ Interview:

    1. Leading a Fulfilled Life Requires Self-Awareness. Marcus emphasizes that the only way to be truly fulfilled is to know thyself. When you are in touch with yourself, you are able to give yourself what you desire most.

Marcus says his life became exponentially more fulfilling when he decided to be honest with himself. He used to be “doing what people expected of me” — working a corporate job, climbing the ladder, etc. But inside, he“felt miserable.”

That’s when he decided to quit his job and pursue success on his own terms.

Marcus’ story teaches us that fulfillment is a product of self-awareness. If you seek more fulfillment in your life, be radically honest with yourself. Is the life you’re leading filling or draining you?

    2. Your Business Can Only Be As Big As You Are. Marcus also emphasizes the importance of self-development. He says, “your business can only grow as big as you have grown as a person.”

In order to develop yourself, you must invest in yourself. You might hire a mentor, attend a conference, listen to podcasts, or read book summaries.

    3. A Good Morning Routine Helps You Start the Day Off Right. How does Marcus get so much done in a day? He says he gets an early start and performs rituals that set him up for success. His morning routine is as follows:

    • 5am wake up
    • Oil pulling for 20 minutes
    • Pushups
    • Gratitude routine
    • 7 minutes of stretching
    • Meditation

Your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. If you think you would benefit from a morning routine, design one and commit to it.

  • Why Everything on Your Path is For You, Even When it Seems Like it’s Not

Why Everything on Your Path is For You, Even When it Seems Like it’s Not

Trevor Hall is a singer/songwriter who has released multiple hit albums, collaborated with artists such as Ziggy Marley, Xavier Rudd, and Jimmy Cliff, and toured and performed around the world. Trevor’s most recent album, The Fruitful Darkness, is his first independent release — made possible entirely by his fans — which became the #1 kickstarter music campaign in 2017.

What you’ll learn in Trevor’s episode:

    • Why your environment shapes your perception of reality.
    • How to break through environmental constraints and define your own reality.
    • How to embrace life’s trials as medicine for your awakening.
    • Trevor’s daily practices/rituals that help him cultivate a growth-oriented mindset.
    • The true meaning and inspiration behind The Fruitful Darkness
    • And so much more…

    Key lessons from this episode:

Your Environment Plays a Bigger Role Than You Think. Trevor emphasized that his upbringing in South Carolina didn’t quite match his inner, intuitive being. He was told that he should want similar things as his culture–to play on the lacrosse team, to get into a good college, to eventually get married and move back to his hometown. But for Trevor, these were never his own desires, which ultimately left him feeling like he didn’t fit in.

“It’s interesting being in an environment where you don’t agree with the reality being taught to you,” he says.

Trevor’s message is that your environment can and does shape you, perhaps more than you think. That’s why it’s important to check in and ask yourself, is my environment in support of my highest self-expression? Or do I feel that my authentic self-expression is shamed, devalued, or not allowed? If the answer is the latter, it might be time to consider moving.

Like plants, we require nourishment to thrive. Others’ affects and actions towards us are our water. The collective culture we’re embedded in is our soil. When we’re supported, we grow, but when we’re not, we wilt and are a dim shade of who we could and most deeply want to be.

Spirit Will Ultimately Find a Way. But if you’re in a situation where you can’t change your environment, don’t fret. Trevor says, “When you feel something so strongly within yourself, there’s a point where it doesn’t matter what environment you’re in. If you have a fire within you, it’s gonna find a way. When we’re in environments that don’t match, it’s almost a blessing because it’s fuel for the fire. It makes you want to reach out harder.”

Every Situation is For Your Greatest Good. Trevor shares that the road to the accomplishments he’s achieved wasn’t always a smooth one. It’s a little-known fact that in his early years of music production, his record company rejected his music again and again. After three years of attempting to release an album, the company dropped him and he found himself with no money, no album, and no record company.

How do you recover from that? How do you find the courage within yourself to keep going in spite of others closing the door in your face?

For Trevor, the essence of a resilient mindset is the ability to see all things for what they really are — a blessing. “Every situation that comes into our lives, bad or good, is necessary for our own awakening. When we look ahead we see all these paths but when we look back we only see on path. I think it’s a matter of our perception of our path. Really there’s only one path.”
