Ep 250: Transformational Embodiment: Transforming Your Life, Business, and Relationships by Revealing and Expanding Into Your Truest Essence with Natalie MacNeil

Natalie is an Emmy Award-winning media entrepreneur and founder of The Embodiment Coaching Institute. She was listed on the Levo 100 as a “Transformer of Our Generation” and featured by Inc. as one of “27 Women Leaders Changing the World.” She has also written five books; The Rituals: Simple Practices to Cultivate Well-Being, Deepen Relationships, and Discover Your True Purpose, She Takes on the World, The Conquer Kit: A Creative Business Planner for Women Entrepreneurs, Conquer Your Year: The Ultimate Planner to Get More Done, Grow Your Business, and Achieve Your Dreams and The Conquer Kit.

    Creating the Success You Wanted

Natalie is no stranger to the business and coaching world. 13 years ago, her online coaching space called She Takes On The World for women entrepreneurs started noticing patterns present in almost everyone she’s worked with. She realized that the key to creating the success you wanted is diving into your layers to reveal the truth of who you are. Weave that truth into your business to create a strategy that’s rooted in the truest of your essence.

She studied meditation, mudras, sound healing, Reiki, NLP, and EFT, a.k.a. Tapping Tantra, and eventually incorporated these transformational tools into her coaching. And that’s how she formed Embodiment Coaching Institute.

Small Pot in the Living Room

She compares her transition from living in Canada to relocating to the US to a small pot in the living room. It’s beautiful, comfortable, and has a lot of stability, but she felt the need to grow, and for the small pot to grow, it needed to be repotted for its roots to have a place to expand.

“Everything was going to be burned away. That for me to live from my highest potential, for me to to be living in the truth of who I am, that the life that I was living at that moment was all going to be burned away and what was going to be created was something very, very different.”

    Toolbox of Embodiment Practices

Her embodiment practices allow her to be in the centre of the storm. There can be all this chaos spinning around her, yet she can stay in that calm eye. She applies the same toolbox of embodiment practices that create transformation in her own life to the lives of the people that she works with.

Natalie is devoted to expanding human potential and inspiring people to live meaningful lives through her books, videos, interactive films, coaching experiences, and live events.

Ep 247: Picture This: A Dad and Daughter Duo Filling Our Hearts with Hope and Joy Through Their Music with Mat and Savanna Shaw

How often do you hear a dad and daughter singing, not just in one song but in an entire album?

Mat and Savanna Shaw are a daddy-daughter duo from Utah that rose to prominence during the COVID-19 quarantine. Savanna, eager to keep in touch with her music friends, started a music social media account. Usually, a shy and private teenager, she was nervous about singing her first song by herself, so she asked her dad to join her in singing “The Prayer.”

What started as an ordinary day of singing for Savanna and a day of gardening for Mat turned out to be a fateful one.

Their video went viral, and the duo continued releasing duets on social media and streaming platforms, charting in both the US and UK. They have since appeared on Good Morning America, Inside Edition, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and more. “In whatever you do, just be real, be yourself and people will love you for it.”

    Story Behind Picture This:

Savanna played the harp for six years before deciding to focus on her voice. She has always loved singing, humming tunes nonstop around the house–though her shyness kept even some of her closest friends unaware of her talents until her videos went viral.

Mat also grew up singing. He sang in High School and College but set aside his performing aspirations to start his real estate career and his family.

The song Picture This tells how that one moment of courage, making that first step towards your dreams that always seemed scary and uncomfortable, can make a huge difference. Both are so grateful that through each other, they have found their voices.

Mat and Savanna’s uplifting song choices and harmonies have inspired people all over the world. Intending to share hope and spread joy through their music, they released their first album last October 23 called Picture This.

“That is what music has become for us, an opportunity to share hope and spread joy. I think that everybody can find their ways to do that, and I think that as you do that, you’ll find that you fill your own heart, with that same hope and joy that you try to spread in others.”

Ep 244: SV Delos: Sailing The World with Brian Trautman

I’ve done many interviews, but I don’t think I’ve talked to anyone LIVE from their sailboat!

Our guest for today’s episode embodies what unconventional living is. For the past ten years, they’ve traveled the oceans powered by only the wind and the sun on their 53” sailboat named SV Delos. Living off the grid majority of the time, they make their own electricity, water, and even moonshine on board!

Brian Trautman, along with his brother, Brady, wife Karin, and two kids, have sailed to 40 countries spanning six continents, crossing the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans in the process, and have traveled enough miles to circle the globe three times.

“There’s been a lot of decision points in my life, and I found that the ones that were the most rewarding are the ones that put the biggest pit in my stomach.”

The Key To Keeping Your Community Engage and Committed

    • Consistency. Continually releasing videos engaging the audience by telling a story so that people become vested in you as a character.
    • Hard work & Patience. It can take years before you can grow your audience to size or become financially sustainable.
    • Be Genuine & Passionate. Find a niche that you want to make, not what others might be interested in.

The Trautman’s continue to document their travels through a series of videos they film and edit themselves.

    Topics Discussed In This Episode

    • How their incredible lifestyle started
    • How he reframed his frame of orientation
    • How they fund their adventures through a mixture of income from crowdfunding and social media

Ep 243: Glimmer: A New Network for Comprehensive Sexual, Mental, and Physical Health Services for LGBTQ-BIPOC with Grace Stephenson

The lack of freedom and versatility in the nonprofit world pushed this young entrepreneur to take on a path less traveled. The gap she saw in the service is the beginning of Glimmer.

“If you have a vision and you want to do something, do it. If I can do it, I feel like anyone can do it.”

Grace Stephenson comes from the sex education and nonprofit world, with experience in womxn’s health, LGBTQIA+ community services, and HIV/AIDS prevention and education. She turned her vision into a massive free online community for womxn, QTBIPOC, and the LGBTQ+ community.

    Glimmer of Hope

Glimmer allows its members to have a community that makes them feel powerful, loved, and understood. It provides members the ability to explore inclusive education, virtual events, shops, and art.

Their goal is to increase access to personalized mental and sexual health services by finding the right therapists. They hope to take away the “hard parts” of accessing comprehensive and affirming sexual health, mental health, sex education, and physical health services.

They go through therapists or mental and sexual health professionals’ directory and interview them to make sure that they’re affirming and empowering. They will then match them to their clients based on their personality, insurance, and location.

    It’s A Space For Us

As they move forward, they hope to encourage the lifting up of other womxn, QTBIPOC & queer-owned professionals, artists, and businesses. They set their eyes on the future with more collaborative education, presentations, and podcasts that feature the therapists they have on Glimmer that people can tune in for free. From there to eventually build physical spaces worldwide.
