We often wonder about the secrets of highly successful people. The secret is, that there is no secret – only hard work, belief, and integrity to one’s truth. Lina Kennedy, the brains behind the multi-million brand Alexandria Professional, did not experience freedom as a young child. Bound by the pains of her abusive environment growing up, she felt that she was not living her truth.
This is also how she knew there were better things ahead. She never settled even when she knew her circumstances couldn’t be changed. Lina simply took the next step forward.
“If you want, you can.”
Today, she enjoys the fruits of her labor with her family and closest friends as she watches her brand soar even higher.
Lina does not believe in being stuck. Freedom is just free to be, period. It is yours to take wherever you go. It’s really simple and there’s even an order to it.
Be open to receive. Remain open to receive a knock from your angels, your piece of luck, your chance at fate. Whatever you believe in, invite opportunity in as it passes through your path.
Be ready to accept. There are many occasions when we are open to receive, but not prepared to accept. This is usually when opportunities go by the wayside. Sit down, digest, reflect, and talk to the most trustworthy people in your life. Accept the potentiality of whatever wants to come your way each day.
Each night, Lina goes through her blessings without fail. More than anything, she is perpetually grateful. Gratitude is something that she believes contributed greatly to what she has achieved thus far. Lina pays it forward by being committed to empowering women and girls to find and secure economic/financial independence and freedom from physical, psychological, and sexual abuse. She founded the Lift the Veil of Silence Society to help raise awareness and ultimately bring a timely end to the scourge of childhood sexual abuse.
